In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five news and magazines apps in Estonia on a unified platform showed notable trends in weekly downloads and user engagement. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals interesting insights into the popularity and usage of these applications.

Postimees saw a relatively stable download trend throughout Q1. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 172 and 274, with a peak of 274 in the week of February 5. The app's lowest download count was 172 in the week of March 4, but it showed a recovery towards the end of the quarter with 244 downloads in the final week.

ERR experienced a more varied download pattern. Starting the quarter with 239 downloads in the first week of January, it peaked at 284 the following week. However, the downloads saw a dip to 131 in the week of March 4, before a slight recovery to 175 in the final week of March.

Delfi.ee maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers generally hovering around the 200-300 range. The highest downloads were recorded in the second week of January at 300, and the lowest was 194 in the week of February 26. The app finished the quarter with 237 downloads.

ETV had a fluctuating download trend. Starting with 93 downloads in the first week of January, it hit a high of 114 in the week of February 19. However, downloads dropped significantly to 34 in the week of March 4, with the app recording no downloads in the final week of the quarter.

Õhtuleht showed an interesting trend with a significant spike in downloads mid-quarter. The app started with 60 downloads in the first week of January, then saw a sharp increase to 244 in the week of February 12, peaking at 261 the following week. Downloads then declined steadily, ending the quarter with 137 in the final week.
